Adam Baer, a santa cruz based artist , will be putting a near-life sized Whale Skeleton sculpture deep playa this upcoming burn. It will be composed of 5 gallon buckets(spine),cut up fiberglass water tank (ribs) and the head/flippers/tail will be a combination of plywood/cardboard/wire mesh . Most all of the materials have or will be salvage and recycled in accordance with the eco-groovy theme this year.
This project got off slowly but is totally happening now. Anyone wanting to help or just visit can find it at 1:00 and perimeter fence. Come check it out.
